Adjusting to deployment communication (which will probably be better than it’s been for the past few weeks) so waiting for that first email and to find out how it will be this year. And waiting to find out if I’ll be with my Caseybear in three months or in a year. If we’ll be in Jacksonville or Atlanta. The next few days can change everything.

No one tells Casey that staying in means not having a beard even longer.
NO ONE.

Casey called me early this morning, super excited. He waited for ranks to come out to call me so he could tell me that he ranked up to AS3. What does this mean? It means he gets his choice for his orders once the Japan ones are up this September. Meaning that he can get moved to Jacksonville, FL then as long as they need a Third Class.

That means not only will he be only 2 hours from home but also means we will only have three more months apart before we put an end to the long distance part of our relationship and move in together (as opposed to next year). Also that he will re-enlist (shore duty/no deployments), we both agree it will be best if he does but if he can’t be closer to home —he won’t. He thinks there is a really good chance because the career adviser likes him and his new command is awesome. We are cautiously excited because the Navy has screwed us time and time again. They really need to do right by him at least once.

Fingers are crossed tight, this is just what we need. I can’t stop thinking about it. When we were talking I kept squealing and saying Caaaaasey they have to do it, this has to happen, it’s just too perfect for us!

On another note he’s officially underway. We’ve got this.
(Btw, it has already been announced by the Public Affairs Office of the ship OPSEC bitches).

Oh and another bit of random excitement, Casey is TAD to the FOD Team on the ship and they wear a specific color on the flight deck. So now when the ship posts pictures (which they do a lot when they’re underway), I might get to actually see him! And they mainly take pictures on the flight deck crews. Eeeek!

I’m in an excellent mood right now, so much good news and changes that could be happening.

I’m so proud of my sweetheart for ranking up to AS3 today! Also his birthday is in two weeks (and mine is a week and a half later). We hadn’t really talked about what we were doing but what with moving plans (and those possibly being sooner) and saving for that, I doubt we were going to do anything so today I will bake him noms and send them. Hopefully they’ll get there on time, I doubt it since they’re underway though. Still a pleasant surprise, unless he’s lurking that is.

Shoo, Casey…shoo! lol

Dang Casey Wayne put all these wonderful possibilities in my head and now we have to wait a few days to find out.

The long distance part of our relationship may be over sooner than we expected.
